UConn Women Go to the Final Four
The Elite Eight Bridgeport division game on Monday night between the UConn Huskies and North Carolina State was one of the best games in NCAA history. Both teams played their hearts out, and frankly both teams deserved to move forward, but that’s not the way sports work. It was a nail biter of a game with a close score through almost all four quarters. The fourth quarter ended in a tie, forcing overtime. I remained fairly calm throughout the game until this point, when my blood pressure started to rise and I had to move around the room for a bit so I could sit again. When the overtime ended in another tie, forcing the game into double overtime I looked like this:

It was a nail biter, with the game decided in the last few seconds. I’m still reeling. They made history, the first Elite Eight game to go into double overtime. I’ve been a fan of the women UConn team since the 90s, but I agree with their coach. Go Huskies!
