The Elite Eight Bridgeport division game on Monday night between the UConn Huskies and North Carolina State was one of the best games in NCAA history. Both teams played their hearts out, and frankly both teams deserved to move forward, but that’s not the way sports work. When the overtime ended in another tie, forcing the game into double overtime I looked like this:
It was a nail biter, with the game decided in the last few seconds. I’m still reeling. They made history, the first Elite Eight game to go into double overtime. I’ve been a fan of the women UConn team since the 90s, but I agree with their coach. Go Huskies!
