Quote of the Week

Positivity

"Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you." ~ Walt Whitman

"Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day." ~ Dalai Lama

"The POSITIVE THINKER sees the INVISIBLE, feels the INTANGIBLE, and achieves the IMPOSSIBLE." ~ Winston Churchill

In the current world climate, which feels filled with negative and depressing news, it is more important than ever to retain a sense of positivity, of optimism.

Positive thinkers see opportunities and possibilities that are invisible to others. They trust their instincts, ideas, and values. They are more likely to accomplish what they set out to do because of their high energy and enthusiasm. Positive thinkers bounce back quickly from a setback because they see the positive side of things––they KNOW that things will always get better.

Instead of focusing on our responsibilities and to-do lists when we wake in the morning, what if we focused on one thought, one thing––no matter how small––that gives us joy? It can be gratitude for something, a person we love, a moment in nature, a goal we’re excited about. Anything that makes us feel good. The simple effect of feeling joy, of feeling positive, will ripple out through our day. It will influence our behavior and our mindset, which in turn will affect our experiences and mental health.

We have the power to choose positivity. Doing so will not only improve our lives, it will influence and affect the lives of every single person we interact with.

Positivity for the win.
