Random Thursday Thoughts

As I’ve mentioned before, I was once a wildlife photographer. I got to experience many beautiful places, sometimes from our canoe and always camping. One place that is incredibly out of the way is Cobscook Bay State Park in Washington County, Maine.
For those who don’t know, Washington County is the easternmost county in the United States. Part of the Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, Cobscook State Park is surrounded on three sides by ocean, with tides running twenty-four feet. It’s wild, isolated, and incredibly beautiful. It’s a must visit for serious birders, with more than two hundred visiting species.
Because it is a long haul from nearly everywhere, the park is rarely full, with over one hundred good campsites. Highly recommended.
