Junkyard Dog series.
People often ask me how I come up with my ideas, especially since I write in many genres. The truth is that I get more ideas than I’ll ever live long enough to write. (And please don’t try to tell me your idea for a great book. Just write it. The world wants to read it.)
My Junkyard Dog novella series is a conglomeration of wild and crazy ideas set in space. I know I’ve mentioned that series before here, but I’ve had a few questions and thought it would be easier to answer them here rather than individually.
I started the series with my main character, a woman who has risen through the mostly male ranks of the galaxy-wide policing organization. And then I put her in danger. I turned what she knew upside down and challenged her, but I also created a companion for her, a strange creature that communicates through telepathy. And then I turned them loose.
Each book in the series deals with a different planet and mystery. I created new creatures and new alien worlds for each of the planets because, why not? I wanted fun, and the Junkyard Dog series is fun. A planet where the inhabitants’ skin color is determined by the biome they live in. A gigantic, intelligent cloud of one-celled creatures floating in space. A cloning lab set deep inside an asteroid with a mad genius.
The entire series leads back to the beginning question of who sent Margarita King out to die and why? In case you didn’t know, novellas are shorter than novels. Amazon categorizes them as short reads. Mine fall in the two to three hour range. I’ve bundled the series several ways to save you money, but my site is the only place you’ll find the entire series in one bundle at a significant savings.
